That was an unexpected surprise! Hearing from a good many of you who also love jigsaw puzzles. Most of you emailed me since my post on my addiction Monday morning. Here are some of the digital or computerized jigsaw puzzles that I have finished from Big Jig. I like to make the puzzle as many pieces as it will allow me to choose. I love the feature that lets me save the picture of the jigsaw puzzle with information about the artwork, artist and number of pieces in the game. It also shows the date that I completed the puzzle. I've saved the images of a good many more digital jigsaw puzzles than I could find for this post tonight. It is rather nice to look back at the puzzles I have enjoyed in little 5 to 15 minute intervals each week. Then there are several puzzles I work on that are saved in the computer. If I'm in the mood for Van Gogh, then I work on this rather complicated piece. You can see the picture in the upper right corner of what the puzzle will look like when finished.
See the little boxes or trays or windows that allows you to sort your pieces? You have four trays and then another way to sort pieces. I've never tried the second method.
Some of the puzzles like this one above, are quite challenging, which I adore. I work on it for a while and then move onto another puzzle for awhile. Since I don't have the puzzle spread out all over the kitchen or dining room table I can take as long as I want in finishing a puzzle. Yeah, that was a big positive for me! Then there are a few puzzles where I have worked the fun colorful parts, and I've not been too interested in working the harder to see darker parts. This is all for fun, so it does not matter if this unfinished puzzle sits in the computer for several years! I work on it from time to time until my whimsy takes me to a different puzzle! You are right! It wil probably be fall weather before I am in the mood to work on this puzzle again. Imagine having all these jigsaw puzzles spread out all over one's house! Not! Now this is one on which I will probably never move forward. One of Lena's options is for these non-standard pieces. These are tough for me. Maybe one day I will take the time to master one...
When two puzzle pieces fit, there is a little "click" sound. If I have the computer sound muted, then there is a little sparkle thing that lets me know I fit two pieces together correctly.
Wish I could put my hands on pictures of some of the really beautiful puzzles I have completed in years past in this program. www.lenagames.com She has many other games on her website, but this is the one in which I am interested.
Vicki O's comment yesterday made me think of a fun option. Would it not be fun for two or three people to be able to work on the same jigsaw puzzle online at the same time? Something 2000 to 5000 pieces. You know there are some 10,000 piece jigsaw puzzles in real life.
One of these days...If I ever completed one of those really, really big ones, I would want to get it framed. Definitely!
Let me know if you have had a jigsaw puzzle framed after you completed it!
