This article reminds me of the previous generations of my family.

Dear Penny,
Thanks for sharing your beautiful tribute to these wonderful women, your fore-mothers. It must be so comforting to work in their spiritual presence.

So beautifully written, it brought a tear to my eye. I've been visited by a few ghosts myself this past while, after losing my Dad last month. The memories that are washing over me lately are so comforting. I know how you're feeling.

Hugs,
Mary Ann

This is such a beautiful post. I love, love, love it and plan on bookmarking it! I know this will be on my mind when I use my grandmother's Pyrex baking bowls to make biscuits tonight.

Beautifully written, Penny. Brought tears to my eyes.

What a touching story, Penny. I cook with some of my mothers and grandmothers pots and tools and there have been many times I felt them in the kitchen with me. Wonderfully written!

Saw a note on facebook about your cooking with ghosts but it was definitely a great read on the blog. Yes, I've felt exactly what you describe and I think that's one of the reasons I do a lot of the things I do . . carrying on a family tradition in the kitchen.

Sarah

What a nice story. . . and you're making me hungry! Seriously, you have a nice way with words.

Penny,

What a beautiful and touching post! I always love reading your posts, but this one is something special. By the way, our newest member of the family, a Cairn terrier, is named Penelope!
