These are some pictures from our quick trip last Thursday. We had about 30 extra minutes, so Gordon and I headed to the Apple Computer Store in the Renaissance at Colony Park Lifestyle Center (shopping area) in Madison, Mississippi.
There will be a whole post just about that Apple store! TRUST ME! *wicked grin*
For now, enjoy these pictures. William Sonoma...be still my heart! I actually save and file their catalogs that come in the mail! I love this company, and now there is a whole store just 90 miles from our farm!
Anthropologie...in Madison, Mississippi!!!
I was mesmerized at how this wall of future greenery (ivy perhaps? moss?) was constructed! It will be fun to see how long it takes for this to fill in with greenery! Green (living) walls are a new hip trend around the country, in case you did not know.
If it had not been for the living wall, I would not have noticed the delightful details in the metal work surrounding the front of the store!
My Facebook friends have told me that this bird metal work is not installed at the Anthropologie stores they have told me about. That's not a scientific survey of all Anthropologie stores around the country, but I wonder how many stores have this wonderful metal work.
Next trip, I hope to catch some little sparrows darting in and out of this metal work. Won't that make a fabulous photo?
The Architecture of this Lifestyle Center (shopping area) just tickles me pink!
Just imagine this place all filled with open shops, vibrant window displays, all decorated for Christmas! It will be magical!
This little street reminded me of a visit years ago to Rothenberg, Germany! Yep, that's me...just younger.
There were many beautiful fountains and statuary at the Renaissance at Colony Park Lifestyle Center in Madison, MS, but this is the only one I had time to shoot.
So when did the term "Lifestyle Center" begin to replace Shopping Center or Galleria or whatever? Have you heard before the phrase "Lifestyle Center" used for a shopping area?
OH! Coldwater Creek is now hiring people for an upcoming opening...or maybe they are already open. We did not drive around the whole "Lifestyle Center", so I don't know if they are open yet or not. That is another catalog I LOVE and read from cover to cover!
Lifestyle Center. Hmmmnnn...
Maybe they will have little hotel rooms in the upper levels of the stores. Some of the stores look like they have two floors. Yeah, that would work! That way those of us who don't live close by can come "live" here for a few days or a week and enjoy every shop and every restaurant and every pretty little street! That would make it a true "Lifestyle Center"!
There are four more pictures taken at the Renaissance at Colony Park Lifestyle Center the same day that I posted in a previous blog post. (I just love saying that whole phrase for some reason. LOL)
