This has got to be a fast post, and I had another Frugal Tuesday idea to share with you from a previous week.
We stopped using plug in varieties of air fresheners after I found some scorch marks above the plug in fixtures in three instances in this house.
To save money and to also try a very green, environment friendly version, i use little containers of white vinegar around the house. We have tucked these air fresheners under beds and in corners...so i just filled them with white vinegar when the original stuff has evaporated. Easy Peasy.
The scent of the vinegar disappears quickly after you pour it from the bottle into whatever container you plan to tuck it in. After that, it does it's thing, and you only think about it when the vinegar has evaporated and you need to refill.
There are some valuable tips along this avenue of frugal air freshener solutions from my Facebook friends on my Everything page, including one lady who shared the side effects of chemical air fresheners on her household pets. I'm pretty sure anyone can read this linked page, even if one is not a member of Facebook. If you cannot see the comments/ideas, just let me know.
Sleep time. Still lots to catch you up on.

Research shows that vinegar (despite its sour odor) absorbs foul smell and that what makes it a practical and cheap air freshener. Well, if you could withstand the sour smell than the bad odor.

I hadn't thought of vinegar - I guess I assumed the scent would linger. But if the fragrance wears off, what a great natural alternative to chemical fresheners! And I'll bet vinegar actually absorbs scents, rather than just covering them up.
Another great, natural air deodorizer is baking soda. You can put an open box in a room, closet or even your car to absorb odors naturally and without any oppressive perfumes.
