We're about 40 miles from home. Long, long day, but it has been a good day. Both multi-media presentations were about historic quilts, so I got to talk about one of my favorite subjects most of the day. That was in Brookhaven, MS. Then we headed to Natchez for a couple more meetings.
I've really got to catch you up on some cool quilt stories...family quilt stained with a soldier's blood ....another family where wounded soldier helped stitch on the quilt. Still have to tell you about those five quilts found in a county dump (landfill) in north Mississippi. I PROMISE, promise, promise to catch up....
This surfing and emailing from the moving van while Gordon drives is still a novelty to me, so I MUST post something tonight before we get home.
This is a picture of some quilt- related fiction books that I've been picking up on eBay for my mom to read. She wants more of them. Can you suggest some titles and authors?
Mama does not like "bodice busters" as my friend Julie calls the racier books. (That makes me giggle every time!) So please only recommend a wholesome book with a quilt - related theme.
In the picture above is an extra book. I will send that to the first person who emails me with the name of three of the quilt projects I am working on at present. (Sneaky little pop quiz to be sure the free quilt book goes to a faithful reader of this blog.)
Be sure to include your snail mail address in your email to me. Book and shipping are free.
Ok, Ready, Set......GO!
